[ well, at least that gets a laugh, although it’s laced with exhaustion and something that’s creeping towards hysteria.

however, connor’s request grounds waver again. confused, he tilts his head, but timidly puts his hand on the table. ]

What are you gonna do?

[ waver holds back whatever smartass comment he has, though he certainly looks nervous about whatever connor’s going to show him.

but... he trusts him, if just a little, so he’ll place his hand in connor’s ]

[ the human skin on connor's hand recedes, showing white plastic. and then he opens a connection between them. he shows the hope he has from being here. glimpses of his class, where people had participated and worked together, using their new predicament to become stronger. humans working their way through their existential crises. ]

I know that it's scary. But I believe we can figure out a way to get everyone's bodies back and make us all whole again.
