Hale is working for James Terrence. There are twenty-five people who help run the school. They all used to have real classes, but now they work on a class for medical treatment of the virus that create hijacking. That's the class we're taking.

There are others in James' ear that make him do things Hale doesn't agree with -- he believes that was the case with Vivienne's death during the entrance exam. You can, of course, take what Hale says with a grain of salt. I'm sharing only to make sure the information gets conveyed, it's up to you to judge its authenticity.

Nevertheless, I assume that evil!Han is one of the people manipulating James as he seems to have been manipulating everyone. The fact Vivienne is still alive is certainly surprising after everything, but better for us if we wish to remain alive.

I wouldn't say that Vivienne or Han are working with Hale at this point, although they are necessarily working for him. Both of them want to protect the students.

And Megumi....she's a very underdeveloped robot. She was created with strong defense systems but poor emotional capacity.
