R1 DEADLAND
[it’s strange, for the people who were already dead, the shift in scenery is sudden and complete. For those who have just arrived? It’s like you’re back where you left?
How strange.
But if you ever need her, you can always reach out to the guardian of this place.]

TUESDAY
B U R G E R S
But fuck it. Today, he's making delicious burgers! It's like he's going out of his way to make them outrageously delicious in some form of heavenly defiance. They're thick, the cheese is melted in, and of course they're super greasy. He's lined the counter with every topping he could think of, even some creative ones like kimchi slaw.
Though...A couple of the patties are still going to be a little burnt around the edges. He's not sure if this is relieving or not.]
no subject
Mm, I'm glad my taste buds work.
[ Sweet god, thank goodness his taste buds work. ]
You did good, kid.
no subject
[And Yoosung wasn't even there for the part where someone's tastebuds actually did not work.]
Anyway, it's no problem. Even if we don't actually need to do this... I still want to.
[His nerves are still fried though, so while no one else is around he's just going to pick off the black parts of one of his messed up patties with a spatula and serve that one to himself. He hums thoughtfully as he puts it on the bun.]
....you'd think becoming an AI could have made me perfect some of my skills though. I hope my code doesn't leave me stuck the same way I am now for eternity.
[He is still saying this in a friendly and conversational tone, which might be a bit unsettling, but he's... um, sure trying here.]
no subject
[ Shit got so real, lord. ]
Uhh... yeah. [ Hank nods. It's true he's trying not to think too hard about it, but Yoosung is clearly trying too. And struggling. ] Well, you know, the thing AIs are known for is their ability to adapt. So you probably don't have to worry about that.
[ It's pretty clear Hank is just saying this though, he's not 100% used to it either. ]
But I mean, hey. Perfect memory if we can figure how to use it. There's probably a whole bunch of shit we just need to find the right line of code for.
no subject
[He wouldn't mind having maxed stats. It's tempting, but at the same time, he certainly doesn't trust his own skills in doing that.]
I don't really know a lot about AI... one of my good friends from home was able to program them, but I wasn't that interested. The only one I interacted with was his home security AI that used to hassle me whenever I tried to come over, not exactly a friend... but I guess it does seem pretty normal for them to do that here. Be adaptable, I mean.
[He finishes putting toppings on his burger and sits down to take a bite. After chewing on that a bit,]
But I'd have to actually know hacking to figure out any of that code stuff... are you any good at that, or is it just Connor?
no subject
[ He shrugs. The burger tastes real enough, so he's not gonna complain. ]
I don't know too much about 'em either, to be honest. AI are just the thing that runs androids back home. So they can get pretty damn advanced.
Connor's our best bet. I could barely get my phone running. Only reason I haven't had any trouble here is because most of the tech was set to a few decades back in my time. If we were all decked out in 2038 shit, I'd be fucked.

after adventure, closed to Hank
Because, knock knock, it's a very large hand.]
no subject
And that loud a knock could only be one person. ]
Yeah? C'mon in.
no subject
So. About yesterday.
no subject
Yesterday...? Which part?
[ The part where he told him he had a crush on Rebecca? The part where Hank cursed out Vivienne? Yesterday was busy. ]
no subject
[Who you yell at is your business, Hank. And Viral is not touching the emotions that the whole 'created AIs to love her' bit caused with a twenty light-year drill right now.]
no subject
The regarding Rebecca thing, yeah, that's a Viral problem. With an easy solution. ]
Oh, yeah. That. [ He smirks. ] You gonna admit you got a crush on her, or what?

tuesday night, closed to connor
Knocking on Connor's door because hopefully he's there?? ]
Hey. I think they drained the pool, so we're gonna try the music room. Sound good?
[ Shame, Hank was kinda hoping he could find that stupid floatie from last time. ]
no subject
[ he opens the door and heads out. To the music room. ]
Have you looked into it already?
no subject
[ Maybe that weird cat drained the pool so people could find stuff? Who knows. Hank follows close behind. ]
Can you play any instruments?
no subject
No I meant the music room.
[ but it’s fine. ]
One of the previous RK models had a number of artistic functions. I don’t think they wrote them out.
no subject
[ Oops. ]
Well, yeah, there's some instruments in there.
[ Hank smiles. Getting to hear Connor play is more than he'd imagined, actually. ]
I can kinda play the guitar, but that's it.
no subject
Are you going to play for me?
